Violence is the fear of other people’s ideas and little faith in one’s own (Antonio Fraguas, Forges).

Really? The culture of violence, so far predominant in our world, consents to, legitimises and glorifies the use of violence. This can be seen in history books, the myths and heroes of all peoples, art, the names of our streets, public monuments, military university studies, institutions, games, and a long, long etcetera.
Obvious, isn’t it? Cultural violence undermines, discriminates, and marginalises people and human communities, especially those it does not consider “its own”. In doing so, it justifies and promotes structural violence and acts of direct violence.
